TeeGee on ClanBase

I’ve created the TeeGee clan on ClanBase. Primarily as a place holder for any Enemy Territory: Quake Wars fun we have. For the TeeGee guys: If you’re a member of ClanBase, send me over your player ID and I can add you as a member. Or if you’ve not signed up to ClanBase, you can sign up hyar.

TeeGee: The Resurrection?

Now that more and more TeeGee folks are back in communication. Talk has turned to the re-union LAN party and games to play. Grabbing a date has proven difficult, some folks have various commitments, especially in the run up to Christmas, and New Year.

The current date being bandied [sp?] around is March 2007, which co-incides with the launch of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (currently slated for 30th March, 2007).

Other talk is afoot about a possible reformation as an Enemy Territory: Quake Wars clan! Oh man, now I need to go and change my underwear… AGAIN!

Now, I’m not a supporter of EA, mostly because they sell adware, treat employees like crap, and produce production line games. But I am a fan of community, and mechanima, and this movie is a great example of how community can support a game long after its release date. Anyone who’s played any of the Battlefields (or indeed any team game) will get this one:

Here’s a few screenshots from last night’s QuakeWorld session. The client is ezQuake, and the high resolution textures are from the Quake Re-Texture, and Quake-Remodeling projects.

Notice how Olli always appears top of the leaderboard? For some reason, I don’t think he stopped playing Quake when the rest of us did :D Yes, we’re in touch with Olli, or Ollli as he now calls himself. He hangs out on #stoner.uk (QuakeNet)
