This was a request from Paz, and I’ve got to say, what another fine example of TeeGee in action. This one is from the fourth season of UKCL, division three. TeeGee versus Force9. The match was played on ukcldm2, and the final score was… Wait for it: 334 - 62, in TeeGee’s favour :D

Yup! Here’s an inline video from the famous Terminal Gibbage Vs. Dark Preachers match. For those folks who can’t be arsed to install a working QuakeWorld client, and grab a huuge BitTorrent.

YouTube has a limitation of ten minutes for a video, so here’s the first ten minutes, minus sound. The video was shot using a combination of ezQuake, Qizmo, and xvidcap.

As this BitTorrent of old TeeGee matches and old skool league matches, is doing the rounds. I thought it best to put up some instructions on how to view the demos.

Keep in mind that these demos truly are old! The players, and the camera men are sitting on modems, so frames-per-second (or tics) start off pretty low. As the demos get more recent, you can really see the shift in netcode, and connectivity.

Not that I make a habit of blowing my own trumpet (I can’t reach, for a start.) But last night was my first time back at a number one spot, on a Quake IV public FFA server. Bloody hell! It was an exciting game, full of chance (aren’t they all?) and a little bit Quad-love.
